Tornado Relief Efforts

As most, if not all of you are aware, our area was hit hard by tornadoes on Sunday, November 17th.  I am grateful that my home and family are safe, but am saddened by the destruction and loss so many others have experienced.  Many people in East Peoria, Pekin and Washington (and areas in between) have lost everything they have.  The Peoria Area Association of Realtors is rallying to help and has put together a website in which donations are being collected and all money will be given directly to those in need.  You can help by visiting:  www.rally.org/paartornadorelief.  Supplies are also being collected, here is a list of items needed:

Gift cards-Home Depot, Lowes, Wal-Mart, Krogers, etc.
Gas cards
Shovels and rakes for cleanup
Plastic bins for storage
Work gloves
Baby formula
Diapers
Bottled water

Gatorade
Individually wrapped snacks
Hand towels
Garbage bags
New socks

Toiletries—shampoo, lotion

I am helping in anyway I can as well.  I have donated money to this rally as well as to families I know personally who were affected.  I am going through clothes my son has outgrown for kids in need and am gathering supplies to donate.  I have also reached out to my sellers to ask if they would be willing to rent their houses to those in need and am happy to say the support has been tremendous!

We are fortunate to live in a tight-knit community that graciously helps those in need.  Thank you to all who have joined in the support/relief efforts.

Sincerely,

Melissa

Melissa Stevenson was great to work with again.

As always, she is very knowledgeable and in-tune with the local and broader real estate market.

She communicates frequently and provides excellent guidance.

I highly recommend, particularly if buying or selling in the Peoria area.
